When visitors leave comments on this site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymized string (hash) from your email may be shared with the Gravatar service to confirm if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After comment approval, your profile picture is visible publicly with your comment.
Media
If you upload images to this site, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may download and extract location data from uploaded images.

- If you leave a comment, you may opt in to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last one year.
- A temporary cookie is set on the login page to check if your browser accepts cookies—this cookie has no personal data and is discarded when you close the browser.
- Login cookies last 2 days; screen options cookies last 1 year. If you choose “Remember Me”, login persists for 2 weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
- Editing or publishing a post sets a cookie with no personal data, only the post ID. It expires in 1 day.
